Integrating Somatic Psychology and Interpersonal Neurobiology in working with Shame, Relationships and the Social Brain

For the first time in Honolulu, I invite you to join me in this exciting opportunity to delve deeper together into the interpersonal field so central to effective clinical practice.

We will focus on weaving the latest from important neuroscientific understanding into the work we practice. This weekend workshop will be appropriate for anyone in the healing profession – particularly anyone wanting to deepen their effectiveness with Somatic (Body-Mind) approaches.  Through an engaging exploration into Interpersonal Neurobiology, we will learn and practice essential relational-focused somatic skills that will help us be even more effective with the complex clients we work with everyday.

The structure of the workshop will focus on delving into the theory of the specific topic, relevant exercises, focused practice, and group discussion.

Topics Covered:

  • Trauma & Civilization: Relationships as the Key to Personal and Social Healing
  • “The Social Brain”: Building Self through Interactive Regulation
  • Shock vs. Developmental Trauma: Navigating the Psychobiology of Fear & Shame
  • Repairing Attachment Injuries: Exploring Attunement, Misattunement, Resonance & Boundaries
  • Working with Attachment-Individuation Patterns: Healing through Relationships and the Body
  • Building Interpersonal Somatic Skills for working with Developmental and Relational Trauma

Please register early as the class size will be limited to support optimal learning via social engagement.
