WORKING WITH COMPLEX TRAUMA – DEMO DAY:

We will be introducing a new class format to Sacramento where Brad will be doing live demonstration sessions throughout the day, demonstrating an Interpersonal-Somatic approach to working with complex trauma, relying mainly on the approaches of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM).  We will be relying on participants to volunteer for demonstration sessions. We will create a safe and welcoming group that is focused on learning and exploration.

This class will begin with a review of the basic theory of SE and NARM for those that have not attended any previous classes to get caught up, and to refresh for those that have attended in the past.  Participants will have the opportunity between sessions to discuss the theory and skills demonstrated in the sessions. We will also do some break-out practice sessions and small group discussions.

This is a special opportunity to see how an Interpersonal-Somatic approach looks in real sessions – including recognizing the challenges and pitfalls we get into in introducing this approach to new clients, and the tricks to applying a basic Interpersonal-Somatic approach in healing shock and developmental trauma.
