Description: This special topics course will introduce you to one of the
most relevant and important fields in the social sciences: Health
Psychology. Health psychology examines the role psychological
factors play in physical well being and illness. It focuses on how
psychological theories and practice contribute to preventing,
treating and recovering from illness. An excellent course for those
interested in the medical, nursing, allied health, counseling, or
human services fields, or anyone simply wishing to learn more
about the mind-body connection.
