What happens when you are overwhelmed by life experience?  When you feel triggered, anxious, depressed, and simply can’t deal with what is happening in your life?  When you start turning to self-destructive, isolating, and harmful ways to manage your overwhelm? Might there be some way out of the spiral down into darkness and despair?

This class will provide you with a new way of looking at trauma.  Defining traumatic experience as any experience that overwhelms our capacity to cope, we can see that most everyone has or is dealing with trauma.

This educational and experiential workshop is designed to teach you how overwhelming life experiences disrupt and damage the brain, creating stress, anxiety, depression, psychological and physical illnesses.

We will also explore how understanding the power of our brain allows us to unlock its healing potential. You will learn basic mindfulness and body awareness techniques which will help you use your brain as an ally in your everyday life.

My goal is for you to walk away from this class feeling more in control of your feelings and reactions, more empowered to take the steps you need to take to move on in your life, and beginning to reawaken to your aliveness.
